About Voltway
The electrician you
keep the number for
Voltway Electrical is a small, approved outfit working across Altrincham and Trafford since 2012. No call centres, no subcontracted strangers — just qualified electricians who turn up when they say, test what they touch and leave you with the certificate.
We started out doing rewires and fault-finding on the older housing around Broadheath and the town centre, and word got round. These days we do everything from a single dodgy socket to a full commercial fixed-wire test, but the approach has not changed: do it properly, explain it plainly, and stand behind it.
Because we only cover one borough, we get to know its housing. The 1930s semis of Urmston and Timperley, the Victorian terraces of Stretford and Old Trafford, the big period houses out in Hale — each throws up its own electrical quirks, and knowing them means our quotes are honest and our work is right first time.
Every job is carried out to BS 7671:2018 + Amendment 4:2026 — the current wiring regulations — and notified under Part P through our NICEIC registration where it needs to be. We carry full public liability insurance and back our workmanship for six years.
Four things we won't budge on
Approved & accountable
We're an NICEIC Approved Contractor and OZEV-authorised installer. That means independent assessment of our work and the right to self-certify domestic jobs under Part P.
We find the real fault
We test to diagnose rather than swapping parts and hoping. You pay for the fix, not the guesswork — and we tell you straight when something can wait.
Everything certified
Every job leaves with the right paperwork: an installation certificate, minor works certificate or condition report, and Building Regs notification where it applies.
Properly local
Based in Broadheath, we work one borough. We know the difference between an Old Trafford terrace and a Hale detached, and we quote for what's really there.
